Last week Thursday the 10th of October 2019 evening at Elangeni Hotel in Durban, there was a graduation ceremony for all Management Development Programme (MDP) organised by the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Delegates were from various companies like Transnet, Durban Municipality, East Coast Radio, iThala Bank, Avis, Richards Bay Minerals, private business owners like Debonairs and Mnambithi TVET College sent 11 delegates as well.
The MDP course was a very intense programme where delegates attended three days in a month for the period of six months. In those six months various disciplines like Management and Leadership Strategy, Strategic Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Strategic Human Resource Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Technology and Business were dealt intensively. A business simulation played a critical role for all delegates in making drastic business decisions. Business simulation is structured like a MBA course the way delegates had to make decision for the survival of the business.
All eleven Mnambithi TVET College delegates passed the UKZN-MDP course with distinctions. The highlight of the event, it is where they announced the best performers award for the course. Ms Hlengiwe Zondo took the second position and Mrs Phindile Malinga took the first position for the entire 70 plus delegates. Well done Mrs Malinga and Ms Zondo to represent the college very well. Mnambithi TVET College delegates surprised all the delegates participated in the MDP course.
Mnambithi TVET College senior management would like to thank ETDP-SETA for sponsoring all 11 delegates from the college.
