It is the beginning of the academic year 2023 to all TVET Colleges in the country and everything must start on a smooth tone likewise, hence On the 24th of January 2023, Mnambithi TVET College was honored by the Regional and DHET officials, The visit was from Ms B. Ngcukayitobi (Deputy Director: TVET Curriculum Development and Support – DHET Head Office and Ms E.T. Ngcobo (DHET Regional Office: Student Support Services). Ezakheni ‘A’ Campus was sampled and selected to be the campus that will be visited for evaluation and support regarding the registration process.
The main purpose of the visit was not about fault finding, but they were here to monitor and enquire about the 2023 registration process, challenges uncounted and achievements. The College Principal, Mr. C.J. Ndlela welcomed our guests and all colleagues as the meeting commenced, amongst other things, the evaluation included improving the Marketing Strategy of the college to make potential and existing students clearly understand the courses available, requirements and important registration dates.
Ms B.N. Mpangase (Deputy Principal: Academic Services) also highlighted that most of the campus difficulties are caused by connectivity and load shedding as some functions depend mostly on electricity. “To be honest I am very impressed by the responses and evidence we are seeing on this meeting regarding the college progress” said Mrs Ngcobo as the meeting continued. The meeting concluded by doing a walk about around the campus buildings showcasing the campus map and classes.
