There is light at the end of the tunnel for Mnambithi TVET College (Estcourt campus) as the Mayor of Inkosi Langalibalele Municipality, Mayor Mduduzi Myeza officially donated a prime site to Mnambithi TVET College on the 9th February 2026. The site is earmarked for the construction of a new state of art campus located in between EKhwezi and Mshayazafe, conveniently situated opposite the Estcourt Hospital.
The announcement was made during a high- level stakeholder meeting held on the new donated site. The gathering brought together stakeholders such as The Mayor, College Council, College Management, COEGA development Corporation, and prominent members of the local business community to discuss the transformative potential of the project. The land will serve as the foundation upon which countless dreams will be built and nurtured. It is also promised to be a modern hub of excellence designed to meet the growing demand for technical and vocational skills in the region. By moving the current campus to EKhwezi area the municipality and the college aim to increase student capacity and provide enough space to accommodate the growing number of students. It is also to boost the local economy by fostering closer ties with the Estcourt business sector through skills development and job creation. It is also for dedicated areas for agricultural demonstration and practical training, enhancing property values and development.
During the meeting, Mayor Myeza emphasised that the donation of the land is a strategic investment in the youth of INkosi Langalibalele as this will not only boost and help Mnambithi TVET College but the local communities as well. The site represents more than just a new building; it is a promise of a bright future for the students and the community of Esctcourt.
College management received the donation with thanks. “This project will be a huge success and will bring good opportunities for both the college and the local communities”, said Mr. Nkosi (chairperson of the Mnambithi TVET College) as he was making remarks extending gratitude and appreciation to Mayor of INkosi Langalibalele local Municipality during the meeting. He further stated that the building of this project aligns with the broader mission of the college which is to expand educational offering.
